Dr. Nick Baucum has been a part of the team at Armadillo Sport Chiropractic since 2013 and the doctor on site / owner at the Calallen office. He is a native of Corpus Christi (Bluntzer, TX) and graduated from Calallen High School. While at Calallen, he was a two-time district and region champion in the shot put and won the 2004 state 4-A championship. As a senior, he was named All-Metro and South Texas track athlete of the year, and also went on to be named All-American by finishing with a top 6 performance at the national track meet in Albuquerque, NM . Dr. Baucum was also a state qualifier in powerlifting. After high school he attended the University of Texas at Austin on a Track and Field scholarship. While at Texas he made All Big 12 and was a part of a team that won 4 consecutive indoor Big 12 championships. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Baucum went on to receive his doctor of chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, TX. Dr. Baucum was appointed to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 2016 for a 6 year term and recently named Chair of the Licensure and Enforcement Committee.

 

Dr. Baucum is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys most outdoor recreation such as hunting, camping, and hiking. He and his wife, office manager of the Calallen office, also enjoy traveling and experiencing life with their sons who are nine years old and four years old.
